hey guys i cant decide if i need to upgrade or not....ive had this little alpine micro that ive had for a few years.....it tops out at like 280FPS and is nice and light to carry through the woods but it is so god awfully loud.....im gonna be 17 for the next huniting season and i have the cash to upgrade to a nicer bow like an 05 hoyt or something...but is it nesecary? can i make this bow better? or do i get a big boy bow?

It sounds like you have two options here..
1. Spend a bunch of money on sound dampening products for the current bow.
2. Purchase a newer bow you are confident that you are able to pull back and still shoot just as well if not better with..
to me it sounds like the choice makes itself.

My wifeshoots an Impact X-treme. Same bow with higher weight limbs. It used to be mine. I was concerned about noise when it was mine. I put cat whiskers and Alpha Shocks on it as well as I quality stabilizer and it is plenty quiet now.
