Default How to remove grip?

I have just returned from having my Q2XL broken down to have it reanodized but, the tech did not want to pop the grip handle off, nor could he get the cable guard off. Anyone know an easy way to remove these things without breaking them... I would like to reuse them. Also the brass Mathews logos on the riser??? Any help would be appreciated so I can get this project completed.....

Thanks........

Use a hair dryer. It may take as long as 10-15 minutes. Sooner or later you will be able to feel the grip move. Take it slow and easy, possibly using a kitchen knife to work it back and forth. Do not force it off, continue to heat it until it comes off.

A heat gun will work good too. Heat the riser instead of the wood handle.
