I just got off the phone with a tec. from bowtech (Pat) and he told me unless your cams are rubbing your limbs they will not replace them they will most likely add a thin shim (washer)like the dealer did for me when I couldn't fit a piece of paper between the cam and the limb.It worked no problem since.

I agree with Surf, MM88. Keep us updated on how things are going.

dave, yes, very thin width wise, and small in diameter - well the ones i used are just smaller than the limb cap, so you can't even really see them when they're installed. now, this fix is covering up the real issue, and you're following that right?

Any loss of energy production (fps) due to the extra binding between end caps?

man, when the rubbing is gone - which it will be, you can't even tell its there. the spacer is a lot slicker than that limb cap, so there should be less friction. my rubbing was from the limb cap, and was noticable on the draw - so it made a huge difference to my bow.

Man, this thing went from the "perfect bow" to a major pain in the arse very quickly. I am in the market for a bow and have a Guardian on order but was thinking hard about changing to Ally. Just seems all you hear aboutis problems with these Bowtechs. Making Hoyt look pretty darn good, thinking of changing my order.

it would make sense that the center pivot onthe guardian and commanderhas got most of the issues any cable slide causes whooped better than anything other than a shoot thru
This is what a BowTech rep explained to me at the ATA, and it made sense to me.

I'll take it up to the shop soon and see about getting this done.
Woodrow88, stab whatever bow you are looking at in the search engine here & at AT and see what comes up. If nothing & you have a good supportive dealer for that model/brand then that is a bow to consider. Just remember some bows sell more than others so there will be more post written for the bows with more owners.
When I take my Tribute in I'll be "forced" to shoot a Guardian, then the drooling may begin all over again.
