If you are referring to offset, then yes they work.you ned a jig with an offset to do it.

I am not refering to offset, i am talking about the distance from the nock.
each will be different spacing.

What is the correct distance a vane or feather should be placed from the nock?

I've set blazers 9/16" from where the nock meets the arrow. It's the last marking on my jig. If you shoot fingers you may need more room.

Staggering - I see no reason to stagger the distance from the nock to the back of each vane. I would think the steering may become wobbly in flight. Placing each vane the same distance from the nock in your jig will balance the shaft better and keep it in flight straighter in my opinion.

The distance I use on my jig for blazer's is the last mark keeping it close the nock and as far back on the shaft as possible. My .02.

I have done it before and it works great. If you think about it, you have 3 points of support in fight instead of one.I talked with an old timer one time and he swears by it. I also tried one time to fletch the small duravanes end to end. I did 2 and 3 fletches in a row. They were super low profile and flew great. With 3, they were almost 7 inches long. The year I fletched those I took them to our state championships and took second that year. You should have seen the looks when I stepped up to the line. Try different stuff and see how it works. It i sa great way to kill some time and get some practice at fletching...........
