I just put the screws to the bow.

The lube might have helped a bit. I will keep on top of that from now on.

Other than that, I just kept on going once it builttension. There is a good amount of resistance but it seems to work okay. I don't have much leverage with the smaller ratchet handlebut it presses it enough to get the job done.

I've noticed on some Hoyt bows that the limbs at rest are doublesimi-recurve. This might be what's causing the extra force needed.
