Default Need fixed broadhead suggestion

I was using muzzy 100's this year but found myself constantly checking to make sure the tip was screwed in tight. Not only that, the replaceable blades just bend way too easily. Both the broadheads I used on my buck (1 to put down, the other to put out) had at least one blade bent to shucks and the other blades just nicked and damaged beyond service.

I need something that is TOUGH, can be resharpened, and will go through many many rib cages before it gives out. Price is an object, I'd like to stay around 5-6 bucks per broadhead if possible. It'd be nice if I could retain the "bone crushing" ability of the muzzy's as well. Please list cutting diameter too if you know it.

Thanks.

How's this for tough.....

Magnus Stinger. I shot a doe through both shoulders this fall. Blew all the way through her. The ole Stinger was messed up pretty bad, so I sent it back and Magnus REPLACED IT! No questions asked. Lifetime warranty. If you hurt it, and it doesn't matter how, you can shoot a rock with it and they'll replace it.

They are VERY simple to resharpen. I killed deer with them after I shot them at targets. Simply resharpen and you're ready to go. They also fly like lazer beams!

I like the sound of that. Only thing I don't like is having to send it in.

I really don't mind buying a new set each year as long as I can put a broad head through targets, resharpen them and put them through a couple deer. All I really want is an effective quality fixed blade that wont bend after punching through ribs/shoulders and will resharpen and last a full season.

I believe the Montec's are supposed to be extremely tough, they look like they would be.

Not my cup of tea but might be what you are looking for.

I used the montecs for several kills this year and they are very tough. I have also used the razorcaps and they are awesome too. I beleive though that the montecs are a little tougher than the razorcaps and I like the fact that they are made from one solid piece of metal.

Two that I would recommend is the Slick Trick the blades are .035 thick, it is a four blade design. Also I would recommend the Simmons RazorShark the blades are .050, also a four blade design.
Both are replaceable blade BH,the RazorSharks are a cut on contact. Both sharpen easily with the accu-sharp.

Yup.... Ya gotta go with Magnus Stingers! They are WICKED!!!

I got the Stinger Buzzcuts and like them, but, some don't care for the serrated edge on them. The real Stingers (like mobowhuntr and others have) are excellent!

Check the Sonic line. Very reasonable at 36.00 for "6" of em, easy to re-sharpen and as tough as anything out there plus they're a cut on contact style with replaceable blades.

Stay with the Muzzys, blades are cheap to replace and faster than re-sharpening.
