Are your arrows spined correctly?

RE: String Supressor Problem pics included
can you go back to the shop? and have someone check everything out, watch you shoot, and see if they can determine what's causing it.

RE: String Supressor Problem pics included
ORIGINAL: TEmbry15 iknow this is the "technical" forum but i dont realy understand. Torquing my bow means gripping it tightly or at an angle, correct? the other situation describes a rest not being properly set up, correct? i didnt set up my wb, my pro shop did using one of those laser squaring devices. as far as the torquing goes, i hold my bow with my fingers open so i am really not gripping the bow at all. correct me if im wrong in any of this, because i need to fix this. is it bad on the string? Remember that I said "if" you are torquing the grip..;) |
RE: String Supressor Problem pics included
i went back to the shop and he said there is a simple fix. he said if i loosen the two screws holding the sts system in place and turn the end a little so that it is further to the right(side it is slipping off of) and then retighten the screws it will fix the problem. this would simply move the rubber end to the right so that it cant slip off the right side anymore. do yall see any downsides to this suggestion?
another question, do i need the string to be touching the sts when the bow isnt drawn, or should there be a little gap of space in between? |

RE: String Supressor Problem pics included
What brand of arrows are you shooting and what are the numbers on them, the poundage your bow is set at , and how long are the arrow. Also what grain points are you shooting.

RE: String Supressor Problem pics included
As far as having a gap or a little space, different users feel differently about that topic. A lot of people do indeed like their string to touch the absorber at brace (rest), but some have found that it's quieter on STS-type systems by leaving a very small amount of air there.... It's just something that you'll have to experiment with. It'll give you something to do over the summer. ;)
