How can I tell the proper stablizer to use with my bow?
I shoot a Darton "Lightning".
It is a fast shooting bow , but a bit noisey.
I bought it second handed from a guy who shot compitition.

if i understand right you are wanting to silence the bow with the stabilizer?

Well I recommend the Sims S-coil if you are looking for inexpensive, they can be picked up at wally world and do a great job and thats what i have on my bow. But if you are looking for the best option look at the Fuse stabilizers, they are just about the best in my opinion.

i use aNAP SHOCKBLOCKERits the first stabilizer ive ever tried that i liked so i bought it. there is a difference with and without it. and its not so heavy and unbalanced that it makes the bow awkward to shoot(at least to me anyway...i have mine installed on a martin prowler se.

Right Now I shoot a very loud Martin Pro Safri(very old bow made in the lat 8os) almost sounds like a shoot gun after I shot it. I was using a carbon 3 prong stab. with aleast a 1/2 pound weight on the end of it. My best shooting buddy got tirred of the noise and gave me a Bomar archery products 10 inch fluid filled stab. and it worked wonders. the bow isnt as loud now, and actually help me out alot on keeping steady. just an idea. you might want to go to your local archery shop and try a few out before you find one you like. I know the shops aroud here wont mind one bit if you ask nicely. Have a good day
