I agree with Auther , get a good string , so your peep comes back the same way every time , lose the rubberband , get a 1/4 true peep or the new g5 meta peep . When setup corectly , you will get a round hole that you can center your sight houseing in and get a great sight picture , this is another very important part to consistant shooting .

Due to the overwhelming consensus, I will force myself to learn to shoot without aligning the round pin protector. I now believe I was poisoned from the beginning because the guy (one of the owners) at a local bowshop told me I needed a peep to match the round and rather expensive cobra pin sight he was selling me to go onto the bow he was (wouldn't you know it) selling me. Only, I at the time didn't know that the peep didn't even friggin match and thusthe ensuingentire year of chasing my tail.

ijimmy, thanks again for the no-peep you sent, I haven't forgotten. It's kind of a pain to set up and adjust so I'm pursuing other routes.
