What do you get out of a 3.5 inch load that you don't get out of a 3 inch? Besides more kick...

a little thicker pattern ; and a little more distance ; and a loooooooott mor kick. I have had both. the 3 1/2 mossburg 850 I ponds off on an unsuspecting fellow. a total peace of junk.[:'(].

the 3" BPSit all it takes to get the job done.getting them in close is the name of the game anyway.[8D]

With all the new shell they have out now. I think your prob going to get a slight advantage with the 3.5in. I have the 3in mag but if i was to buy a new one it would prob be the 3.5in...

i use 3.5" out of my 835. I dont think they're needed to kill a turkey, but I guess its better to have more shot and energy if i need it.

I shoot 3.5in heavi-shot with my MP153because 1) with this gun there is not much recoil with the 3.5's 2) Might as well have as much lead flying as possible. However, I want them in close when I thump em

The 3.5s kill good and throw more shot but man do they kick. I use #4 shot win.sup. 3in this load does well. I've killed several turkeys with a 20ga 3in #4 heavy shot at 40 yds, with not near as much recoil.
