was thinkin about trying some 4 feather fletching on my arrows...but can i shoot them through a biscuit due too knock point in relation to the notch(by notch im talkin aboutthe one where you load the arrow into on buiscuit)in the biscuit

yea....i dont know either, no reason for doin it other than to try somethin diff and see how the fly if atall any different than a 3x120 fletch

I would think that with feathers, you really wouldn't gain all that much extra steering. An easier solution might be to use a 3x120 helical fletch. that would get you more frontal surface area, and thus better stabilization.

I used that setup last year , works great , 4 4" feathers ,120-60 degree orintation I believe

I've used 4-fletch setups in the past. They work great at stabilizing broadheads and, like ijimmy said, I don't see why a 4-fletch arrangement wouldn't work thru a wb. 75X105 setup.

But I have to say I've come to consider 4-fletch to be a waste of time and money, unless it's for special applications like making fluflu's or if you're intending to use REALLY big, nasty, unvented fixed blade broadheads. For most 'normal' uses, it's not enough better than 3-fletch to justify the extra expense.

Although.... it IS kinda nice with 4-fletch to not have to worry about whether you're nocking the arrow with the cock vane oriented properly to the rest.

i use a helical clamp and fairly extreme offset

i just want to play around with my bitzen a lil bit and try the other settings it offers and see how i like it....i'm not to worried about cost of feathers...eaglearchery.com has 4 inch AAA diecut feathers for 19$ a hundred sack the 3 inch are a little cheaper(maybe 15 cent per feather) and 5 inch(maybee 23cent per feather) witch is way cheaper than the tru flight and i think they are everybit as good for alot cheaper.

just thought id play a little with some splicing and color combos

you also have to worry about that extra fletch slowing your arrow down that much faster especially feathers they have a tendancy to slow down the arrow faster than vanes to begin with.
loke Aurthur said unless you are using a big nastyfixed blade broadhead there is really no use for the extra fletch.
