Default Tuning Question

My Muzzy 100 gr. BH are shooting about 6 inches higher than my field points. If I go by Eastons tune guide than I should raise my nock point. Is that true that it will make them hit the same as my field points. Sorry for the stupid question but i wanted to make sure.

Default RE: Tuning Question

You'll either want to move your nock point up or lower your arrow rest. But not both at the same time. You'll want to make a small adjustment and then shoot a couple groups to find out where the arrows are hitting. What you want to see is that gap between field points and broadheads start to shrink as you make your adjustments. Once everything is well tuned you should be able to alternate broadhead or field point and stack them in the same group.

Just curious, was the high hits using the Practice Blade that came with the Muzzy pack? If so, in my experience, flew high. If you change anything to help the flight of the broadhead, is going to change the flight of the field tip. I would first paper tune with a field tip and then shoot a bladed, not practice blade at 20 yards. If you you still hit high and are going hunting soon, compensate for the broadhead. Also have some one stand BEHIND you while you shoot and watch the arrow. See if the arrow is flying true or if it is planning. You didn't say wheather you shot helical or straight fletching.

Throw one through paper just for giggles and see what happens. Shoot at 7 feet, 10 feet and 15 feet
