Discovery bows
I've been in college for the last 4 yrs and have lost touch of whats happening these days with Discovery / Firebrand bows and such.
Can anyone tell me whats going on with Firebrand?
I hear something now about Monster bows as well?
Can anyone enlighten me some?
Thanks!

RE: Discovery bows
They went belly up. They had quality control and design issues and then were unwilling to provide practically any customer service. Then, they turned out the lights without any notification. If you were a business major and would like a study in poor business practice, go over to their message board. It is still active and has a lot of information as to what went down. If you can't already tell, I owned one of their bows and I have a deep burn over it. It wasn't the money I was out; it was the principle of the matter.
Monster Bows is taking Oneida bows and making them work without cams and old FB's and making them work the way they should have to begin with. They are doing first class work. If you have a FB, you aren't going to get any work done on it anywhere except for Monster Bows, and they know what they are doing.

RE: Discovery bows
Thanks.
I owned 2 Oneida bows back in the 90's and was even an Oneida dealer for awhile. Oneida lacked good quality control on their bows and many clients complained that they could not get their bows to shoot an arrow into the same hole - or even close time after time. After getting tired of all the tuning and problems from so many working parts I sold mine and moved onto a less-complicated bow.

RE: Discovery bows
Well Firebrand was owned by the folks who probably owned Oneieda while you were a dealer so needless to say, the beat went on with quality control and service..
I think the Firebrand forum is gone now, it had no activety.. If you want help on a Firebrand type bow you could go to http://monsterbows.com/forums/index.php and they might be able to give you some help. The are concentrating more on their Phonenix bow now (A shoot through lever/lever bow) and moving away from just souping up other manufacturers bows...
Good luck..
