Sure does seem to be a void a guy with a couple or 3 decades of experience could fill with a good hands on book on the subject. Yes sir e. Yep sure would do well. Maybe someone will get the hint I mean idea to do it.
Gary, I do love to tinker with them. Always have. Hell, I'm gettin old enough I can't see to shoot anymore so I figure tearing the bow down and tossing everything on the floor, and then putting it all back together is fun.

I have some personal reasons that my real desire for archery is easing a bit. All the advertising and this attitiude of every year some company has "the latest and greatest" whatever is really a bunch of garbage. And then ya got all the "brand loyal" head cases that don't know squat about most of the sport of archery. Of course a lot of them think they do because they shoot a $700 bow or something of that nature. You know. The guys that don't even know how to adjust the weight on the $700 bow.

Point I'm making is that after 33 years now of listening to this crap it's starting to get a little old.

Take a look at that AOW under my signature. Ya know, I can be 100 feet down in some ocean and scream my head off and nobody will hear me. Now that my dear sir is peace and quiet. Something I'm beginning to cherish more and more as I get older.

I got a new grandchild, my first. I saw him and he's OK, but I'm not all firewd up over it. Hell, I don't even like my own kids; or the wife for that matter. Not even sure I like me anymore. I'm a wierd kind a guy.

Hey, thank for letting me vent. Maybe I just need some sleep.

You sound just weird enough to be a good book writer and you enjoy being in quiet places where some of the best thinking is done. Sounds like you can take a mess and put it back together. Another good trait to have as a writer. A book on the subject with a divers perspective might just be interesting enough to get published. Think on it next time your down there.

As for the family stuff, I'm doing the best I can and no expert on the subject. Vent if it makes you feel better and I'm glad to listen, but I've lost friends and seen families suffer at the loss of their loved ones (they were loved although they didn't think so) to listen without doing whatever I thought was necessary to get someone to see the positive side of things. 2x4's are a big part of my life and I'm not afraid to use one.The grand kid needs a grandpa Barry, someone to spoil him. Give him a chance or several.

Hey Gary,

Thanks for the comments. Sounds like you're a regular guy. Now it's a different day, different insight. Funny how life is like that.

I really don't have any family problems. Kids never gave me any grief. Got a good wife I guess. Nothing to really complain about. I'm just a crochety old booger that enjoys my own company and others that share my hobbies. Just wish my wife and kids would share my life with me. They don't participate in my activities so I'm pretty well on my own, and it's been like that for years so it's nothing new. I've adjusted to it.

As for the grand kid? Who knows. Maybe I'll lighten up one of these days.. He lives 1300 miles away so it's not like I'll have to baby-sit every weekend. Like maybe he won't be such a pain in the arse so I'll appreciate it when I get to see him.

Hey, sorry to give you my life history. Enjoy life. I certainly am these days.

Only got two weeks till I leave for Bonaire on a scuba trip.

George Ryals just finished filming a video for target setup and tuning. He is not sure when it will be available. George is a long time tournement pro and he has worked as a designer for Martin & currently for Copper John.

I wish Len Marsh (Len inMaryland)would write one, but he says that he would make too many enemies among the manufacturers. If you read his posts here on carbon arrow quality, you will probably agree with that. I still wish he would write it.
