Default thumb trigger release

I am going to pick up a Chappy Boss shortly. Do you guys shoot these type of releases with back tension or do you pull thru the shot?
thanks
Mike

Almost impossible to shoot that release correctly without learning a true swivel release.

It should be shot with back tension - kinda the same as pulling thru the shot.

If you are punching your trigger - you will just punch with your thumb now.

I always try to talk my customers out of thumb releases as a cure to panic or punching.

Thanks
I do not have target panic, and I really don't have a problem with puching the trigger on the index release I have now. On a 3d course I maybe punch it 3 times usually causing the arrow to hit at one oclock from the point I was aiming at. I try to use the fish hook to release the shot.
The reason I as is that I will be getting a new bow next month, and want to start using something other than a index release. I figure that I might as well start when I get the new bow.
Thanks again.

i can use bt with one, but only after learning with a real bt release. before that i pulled thru the shot. make a conscious effort to settle down before execution to keep from learning how to drive by shoot with one.

In target shooting, ALL releases should be shot with back tension.

I shoot mine with back tension and my friends think I'm a bit nuts for hunting with my Carter but I can force the shot if the situation demands it. (Shooting moving 3-D rabbit targets through a steel window taught me the need to learn that; "plingk" - $15 arrow[:@], "plingk" - another $15 arrow[:@])
