even less expensive than cat whiskers, bulk spinnerbait skirts from wal mart. they are like $1 for 10 of them. same exact thing as the whiskers

I kind of like the chartruese silencers on my string

Hey, I never thought of that. My girlfriend has a rintec in target colors I thought about making some yarn puff balls in blue to match it, but that sounds like good idea as well. Might have to take a trip to walmart today, or Lord forbid Cabela's. They have more fishing stuff in that store than I have ever seen in my life.

Putting anything on your string will take away from your speed. Try the STS. You won't be dissapointed.

I have used the String leeches on my bow, and they have worked very well for me. After about 350+ shots they start to wear out, but they take away almost all vibration. I've heard that sometimes they do fly off,but ive not encountered this problem.

I'll call you on that one. Depending on where you put them they might even gain you a few FPS. I have chronoed a lot of bows, string silencers if placed correctly will effect your speed very little. If you do lose speed I bet it won't be enough that a chrono would be accurate enough to detect.

If you want to bolt a peice of equipment to your bow that costs 10 times what decent silencers cost and probably isn't as quiet feel free.

I'm willing to give up a few fps for a quieter bow. 5 fps wont be enough to stop a deer from jumping the string, but the quieter bow may be. And those sts's are just plain ugly and put un-needed weight on the bow [8D]

Beaver balls are not cat whiskers cut down. They are actual fur strips wound around your string like the yarn puff balls.
Whatever, here's what I was told are beaver balls.
