Caution: Really dumb question from an inexperienced archer who has never used a WB.

Has anyone ever tried cutting away some of the "whiskers" to form "pass throughs" for the vanes so contact is less of an issue?
Good idea, but in order to do that you would really need to cut a heck of a lot out of there, at which point you may as well use a different rest alltogether.

Oh yeah MOBOW... the hair dryer thing seemed to help somewhat, thanks.
You are most welcome. I got more tricks than a .....well, a lady dressed in a short skirt on the corner.....:D:D[&:][&:][8D]

Not a dumb question but not sure it is necessary. Just part of what you accept for using one! [8D]

Yes I did. It worked. Makes the rest a little weaker though. They need each other for support.

i dont know if i would be to worried bout wrinkled vanes, the vanes on the arrows my dad is shooting are wrinkled up from passin through our old imitation block target on occasion, but even still he can put two or three arrows side by side over and over, (he only takes 2 or 3 arrows out when practicing) so i come to say that it really dont make that much of a difference that i can tell, even when i shot vanes i noticed no difference in shooting straight vanes or if the was wrinkled. just my .10 good luck
