RE: Velcro Releases
I have shot a velco release forfive years now. It makes a lot of noise when you take it off. As far as when its on or drawing back and shooting. No noise there.I have never tried a buckle one.

RE: Velcro Releases
maybe the noise isn't as bad on lower poundage bows. But I was drawing on my 70 and it definately made noise, and it was a fairly expensive release from a reputable brand.
is there a way to quiet it? |
RE: Velcro Releases
I've never heard my release make any noise other than when I take it off.

RE: Velcro Releases
I shoot a velcro Tru Fire release. Never had a problem with it making noise. A wise man once told me, before you get in the stand, draw your bow back three times. This will set the velcro so it doesn't make noise whenthe shot counts.

RE: Velcro Releases
I shoot a velcro one and shied away from a buckle one because I felt it would eventually stretch and require another hole punched. Thet get quieter after some use, mine is now silent.

RE: Velcro Releases
Mine just makes noise when I put it on and take it off.
Best. |
RE: Velcro Releases
I have serious OCD when it comes to this. No noise on the draw but putting it on and taking it off seem super loud to me. I feel like every deer within a mile can hear it. I have a Sabertooth and love it, but I wish I had gotten the buckle.

RE: Velcro Releases
Winn Free Flight. No noise except when taking it off. Just wait till you're at the truck to take it off.
