New, what about it made you think about getting one...I had my eye on one before I shot the Allegiance and decided to get it (29/60)...I never did shoot the Illusion, so if you will tell us more, feel, draw, speed, noise, vibration?

Thanks, Bo

PSEBO, Since i don't have a bow anymore i thought i would test a few different ones before i decide what bow to get.The bow has avery nice grip. The draw cycle is fairly aggressive but manageable and has a very short valley(sort of reminds me of my Black Knight)and a nice hard wall which i love in a bow.As far as speed goes at 71 pounds and 30 inch draw it shot a 396 grain arrow at 287 fps. which is pretty respectable. It seemed to be a pretty quiet bow and had very little vibration. The Illusion is a very nice bow that will be on my possibility list.

Sold the Allegiance huh?

My nearest pro shop carries Hoyt, Mathews, PSE, Reflex, and Browning. I have no experience with the Illusion, but the dealer sure doesn't push them(maybe he has a cost/profit reason?).

Newman, just curious...did you sell your Allegiance? And if so what was the matter with it if anything? You’re right about the Illusion’s draw cycle...I went to the shop after I read your post and drew it[:-]...that was enough to solidify my decision to get the Ally!

Thanks, Bo

Cougar and BO,no i did not sell the Allegiance.Without getting in the gory details of why i don't have an Ally anymore,Let's just say i am having continuing issues with having my bowlast more than about 30 shots.Do not take this as bashing because i LOVE my Bowtech and want nothing more than to have it back.

Sorry to hear that Newman1, I'm not gonna write what I'm thinking though....

I drew and shot the illusion and felt the draw cycle was too agressive for the payoff. Nothing wrong with it, just no WOWfactor for me. A nice bow no doubt, but priced too high to compete head to head with the big 3 imho. drop the price by $150 or so and they'd sell like hotcakes [8D]

Good luck with that other issue......

Its a great bow in my opinion and very underrated. Shoot one and see for yourself. I killed 3 deer with mine last season. Go to the PSE website if you have more questions.
