My dealer has been trying to talk me into shooting these shafts (offering great price). Does anyone have any experience with them? Any positive or negative feedback? Thanks

I have shoot the black version of those shafts and found them not to be durable at all. I have looked at the camo shafts and most of them are very very very very rough and I mean very rough. but some are not as rough but rough to say the least.

I got half dozen of the black shafts also. One of these shoots consistently 2-3" high left at 30 yards, and that is with field points. They did not shoot as well with broadheads as the Carbon Express, so I decided to keep shooting those for now.

Avoid the inevitable until it is absolutely unavoidable!

I was quite anxious to get my hands on some of these with all the advertising thye did regarding such great spine characteristics.

I got a half dozen in late spring, and was unimpressed. The durability is questionable, and I did not find them to group more than adequately.

I had two problems with the dozen black shafts I bought. The first problem was that anytime I had the slap together at the target they dented, I know this happens but in only three practices I had lost a total of 6 arrows and the other problem I had was they cracked at the insert, the inserts fit well I put them in myself so I don't think it was a problem with inserts but who knows. To make a long story short with in five days I had 0 good shafts.
So I decided to try the easton epic shafts and I bought a dozen shafts and I have had three brake one was on a deer and the other two were a robin hood the kind of problems you like to have. I have had the easton shafts slap together just like the blackhawk and have had no problems. Maybe I got a bad patch, but at the shop I buy from there has been many arrow bite the dust just like mine did so they no longer stock them.

I have not been impressed with the all carbon shafts from Blackhawk. While I haven't owned any, a buddy of mine has some and they don't seem durable at all to me. However, I do shoot the aluminum-carbon shaft that they make, and I like it a lot. And it's about $40/doz. cheaper than the eastons.

I will say that between all the Blackhawk Vapor shafts/arrows my dealer has sold (48 doz. or so) and many other people that I've talked to, all have pretty much the same feeling towards these arrows. They are not a very durable shaft and the customer service is terrible. You'll VERY rarely hear me say anything bad about a companies customer service but I know first hand that this company doesn't take care of their dealers problems even when they promise they will. My dealer and I have tried to get some issues cleared up (since May 2001) and they still haven't or will never help us out. My dealer has dropped their line and won't stock anymore, ever...

BTW, We had several and I mean several shafts that were split/cracked in the back of the shaft where the nocks go in (came from them this way) and they told us to cut a half inch or so off of them and they should be ok...WHAT?... First of all they were pre fletched arrows we were stocking so, why couldn't thet cut any off of them and secondly it should be up to their quality control to fix this problem but they didn't...

They told me and my dealer (approx. 6 times) they would send some free shafts (2 doz.) to make up for the bad ones my dealer had given free to the customers that brought back bad arrows...That was over a year and a half time span and guess what...Still no arrows and to be honest my dealer doesn't want them now even if they did send them to him...Too many troubles for what they're worth...

FWIW, My son has a half doz and 3 of them are cracked with less than 100 shots on them...
