Thanks All , forgot about strings , got new bow
Just want to say thanks for all help and encouragement from this board. I asked many ????s about 2-3 months ago on an old High Country (1992) combound that its strings were going ( never changed the strings in 10 years). Didnt now how bad it was till I got all your inputs.
Anyways High Country never got back to me after alot of attempts with string measurements so I was stuck . UNTILL , Aa friend at work said he had a like new bow from 2000 he shot a cupple times.
$ 250 later a beautiful Martin was mine. This bow is awesome , weight , accuracey , smoothness, I cant believe the differences in modern bows.
Anyways thank you all so much and Mahalo Nui Loa Huntingnet.com

You're exactly right: the difference between bows of yesteryear and today's modern marvels is akin to the difference between a Pinto and a Porsche!
