First and foremost a good stabilizer will make your bow much easier to aim.....instead of your pins darting around as you are "Pinning" the target, your pins will tend to float on the target......makeing it much easier to place your arrow where you want! You WILL shoot tighter groups and be far more consistant at longer ranges.
The shortsuper light stabilizers that some are using have virtually no stabilizing affect on the bow at all.As some have stated they are only a shock absorber, nothing more.
When you can put a stabilizer on your bow that combinesthe stabilizing qualitys stated abovealong with good shock absorbtion you are ahead of the game!

Yes they do, just make sure you get the right one so your bow balances the way you want it.

Good Shootin'

Rev, yiou need a couple more on that bow!

Yes they do work. I've been playing around with two totally different stabilizers this week. The 2nd one was a Sims Modular System....great stabilizer and it is neat to be able to add or take off modules BUT........even the Sims didn't quite give me the balance and feel I was looking for. And it can get quite expensive buying additional modules to play around with. I think I finally have found the stabilizer that makes me happy. I just traded the new Sims for a 6" Stealth a guy had. For some reason it just balances and gives me a better feel on my bow, not only for vibration but for aiming. Thanks to Greg/Mo, Matt, and others for steering me in that direction for my particular application. Buying and using a stabilizer can be like buying a bow.......its an individual thing.

I agree totally. This is the exact definition of a stabilizer, not just a piece of navcom or rubber that just controls vibration and noise. Stabilizers are for weight distribution, vibration control plugs like the limbsaver S-coil do not control jumping of the bow or sights. If you can combine them, then you have an enhanced stabilizer, and best of both worlds. Vibration and noise control alone are not a stabilizers aim on doing. I believe throughout all the marketing to do's out there, the manufacturers twist the definition of "stablilizer" to anything and everything you screw in on the front of your bow, creating a general group of gadgets incorrectly listed as stabilizers.
