Killed an 8-point with my Patriot last week, I don't know how a Bow Tech can get any better. Shoots like a dream.

Put in my order for one(28in draw 60lb Patriot) on Tues. Is the patriot a bad choice for a 3D bow? It was not mentioned in an earlier post asking about a good 3D bow.
The shop where I shoot & buy my bows is going to reduce the remaining 2002 by $50-$75, man am I tempted to get a BKII or Pro 38. If I did I would definitly be in a world of hurt from the boss.

The thing that really makes the M******* bows look impressive in the adds is the statement of championships they earn in a year. Any chance you guys will be penetrating that market?

Caj,
I wouldn't call the Patriot a &quot;BAD&quot; 3D choice by any means.......just that there are other bows in the line-up that lend themselves better to that task. While the longer ATA bows may be a little more stable, the Patriot isn't bad at all in that regard with its exceptionally long riser it has natural built in lateral stability in its own right.

Not sure if you mean a 2003 or a 2002, but The main concern with the 202 Pat for 3D is the balance.....its very unique in the 2002 model and will probably be best suited to Hunter Class style shooting with 12&quot; max stabilizers and pin sights. The top heavieness of this model doesn't mix well with the long stabilizers and sight bars and scopes of the open class.
I think it would make a very nice Hunter Class 3D bow......And don't be afraid to set it up with some back weight to counter some of the tumble. It will hold steadier for you as well.......This is how I have mine set-up. With a very light GK Tranquilizer out front, and a nice 4&quot; Stealth stabilizer in the rear hole.
I'm shooting at 70# and 30&quot; and the bow does nothing at the shot.....just sits there nicely with a slow forward fall. Very Nice!
As for the balance of a 2003??.....I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Nobody should overlook the 2002 Patriot just cause' the 2003's are coming.......and you can get some great deals on them as well.(Not sure if the $50 rebate on 2002's is still in effect?) Just a terrific bow that you're gonna love.

Sooner, They say not. They feel they get a more truthful and better advertising by having an amateur only staff. I'm not knocking any others advertising but most of us know there's a lot of halftruths that the general johnqpublic hunter doesn't know any better.

The shooters win, not the bows... Most of them could shoot a stick with a fishing line string and win...

Or heck they could probably even win with the protoype that you'll see pictured on page 2....LOL.....BwaaaaHaaaaa

Sorry JeffB, I just can't let it go dude......<img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Since we were all typing at the same time I see. The Factory Rebate ends Oct. 31st for anyone interested.

Did you mean the standard Patriot? or the Dual Cam Patriot? For 3D's I would imagine the DC model will be the better 3D bow. It's a little longer (should also have the increased string angle), has more brace height and is about 15-20 FPS faster.

However, if you want a bow to mainly shoot 3D's with, then I would go with the PRo 40 Dual, the Pro 40 single, the BKII high brace, or the Pro 40 wheel. Out of those I'd take the P40 Wheel or P40 Dual cam as my first choices.
