Small Diameter Carbon Arrows?
I used to use the smaller diameter Beman carbon arrows and last season switched to the Beman ICS arrows. I actually felt like the smaller diameter arrows were more durable. I have broken more than one of the ICS arrows and the break was clean, whereas in the past the smaller diameter version was nearly impossible to break.
Any thoughts on using some of the thinner diameter arrows versus the likes of the Beman ICS?

They have the right idea with the thinner diameter, however, the problem with the hit inserts is they've had a tendancy to slide down inside the shaft, despite the expoxy easton supplies. Time will tell if they'll stay or go. Right idea though.

I don't think that the smaller diameter shafts really have any advantages. The difference in diameter is usually less than a 32nd of an inch. I think it is all hype about wind deflection and going through the animal easier. The shafts are usually heavier but with my Carbon Express shafts, I can add weight tubes to make them heavier. The added weight is probably what gives them better penetration. I'm not a fan of the HIT either. JMO
