BDH,
You'd be right if I only had 1 release. Basically I shoot everyday and I only have 1 archery shop here on Oahu. My loops just wear out and I have become tired of replacing it. I thought it was hitting the cable gide but that wasn't the case because each loop wore out in a different place each time so I went to the U-Nxl and haven't had any issues. Thanks for the reply.

i have used the trufire 5 star center knock for years. i really like it as far as wear on it or the release, but it does seem to be hard on the string and cable. it appears that it slaps it with every shot, and i'm sure causing a little more noise than a string. but i really like the reliability of it, it's never slipped the release, or dropped an arrow on a letdown. i guess i can handle a new string each year due to the wear and tear from it, otherwise i'm happy with it.

I use an Ultra Noc and have been for over a year, in that year i have shot more than 1000 arrowns with aboslutely no issues, just a little wear on my release but not much.Have not had any issues with my string or servicings at all. The only reasonsomeone string should break at theNoc would be if the tech who put it on, screwed it on way to tight.ULtra Nocs should never be under or over tightend. I love my ultra noc, never tried a string loop nor do i think i will.

Get the string loop, i've heard that the ultra noks have a tendency to shatter. I have always had very good luck with the string loop. Plus it is a lot cheaper way to go.

Is this 1992? Do they even still sell ultranoks? They are heavy. Which will result in slowing your bow down. They suck to get your peep in line unless you use a tube (once again is this 1992). Save the money, use a loop!

Gents,
I most definitely come to this site for great and sound guidence. Part of becoming a "veteran" archer is through failure and success. Go for what works for you. I like what I have currently and the cost is worth it. Good hunting to all.
