Default A/C slims or axis arrows?

I currently use the ACC's but was looking at trying either the Axis or A/C super slims. Has anyone shot the superslims? Ive heard that the axis shafts are ok but nothing great. I really love my ACC's and should just stick with them but the A/C super slims look interesting.....Any imput would be great.

I dont really think you can compair the 2 .The AXIS is a carbon shaft, while the ACC and super slim are carbon alluminum. The ACC is an awesom shaft.I would also say the Super Slim would probably be better, being slimmer and with the new HIT technoligy.
There is also a big price difference between the ACC or Super Slim and the Axis-----good luck on your decision.
I may be checking out the Super Slims real soon,I really like Mikes

I didnt like the axis , if the slim accs are as good as the regular accs , there is no comparison . accs are top quality , axis are poor . Ive yet to meet a pure carbon that I liked .

From my personal findings the Axis where a good arrow I never had any problems with the ones I used last year.

I switched to the AC Superslims this year and they are IMHO a great arrow yes you will pay more for them.

What I have seen on the forums is that people are willing to pay over 700 for a bow without blinking an eye but when it comes to arrows they go the cheap route.

When it is all said and done if you want quality and consistancy then pay the extra and save a lot of headaches in the future.

I bought a dozen A/C/C arrows with my Bowtech Allegiance back in March. What I am about to say will make you spend the extra money.

I have shot several different brands of arrows. The most durable arrows I have shot are the Easton A/C/C arrows. I hit my fence with my A/C/C's ( It went through the target and hit the backstop which is my fence)andIfrequentlyhit one arrow with another arrow, and I am still shooting them. As a matter of fact, I have only fletched three arrows so far. I am shocked they lasted so long, four months. I busted five Gold Tip XT's in a couple of months, and I didn't even hit a fence! I have been shooting the A/C/C's twice as long and haven't busted one.

Spending $150 on arrows seems like a lot, but they will last way longer. I haven't busted an A/C/Cyet.At the rate I was going, I would have spend over $210 on arrows each year since I broke an average of two every month. You would then have to go through the hassle of getting the arrows ready for season.I did not do crazy shots with the Gold Tip's either. The damage just came from regular target shooting. I should have already broke eight A/C/C arrows if they were like the Gold Tips, but they are not. They are so much better.

Last year, after hearing such great praise of the Axis, I did what you are considering doing. I bought a dozen Axis after having used ACCs. The Axis were very impressive initially. All but 3 of the dozen spun nicely on my arrow spinner. I started shooting only 6 of them just in case. After 3 months of shooting, I sold the unshot 6 and bought more ACCs. The accuracy I got in the beginning just didn't last, and when I spun the older Axis that had been shot alot, they were much more crooked than when I first spun them. After building a spine tester and comparing arrows, I was even more impressed with the ACCs compared to two brands of all carbons. Whether there is enough difference between the ACCs and AC Superslims, I can't say, as I've never tried the new ones. I doubt that the difference in diameter could make that much of a difference in penetration, but they might.

I recently bought a half dozen A/C slims and there is no way that the Axis will even be close the quality of these arrows. If you already shoot ACCs then I think you have already answered your own question. I posted some pics of mine in the Bowhunting forum.

Save your money and don't even bother with the Axis. The dozen I bought last year got worse the more I shot them.I'm using them now to stake my tomato plants.
I shoot the ACC's,and thats where I'm staying...Bob

Ive been shooting the Axis but I may try the SuperSlims, as Ive been reading about increased durability. They should really penetrate good as well since they are fairly heavy, right?

Zak, be careful and God Bless, hope it doesnt get too bad---from an inland Mississippian!
