When I line my string up with the pins on my sight, and the arrow, the sight is about 1/2" to the right. How would I get the pins to be lined up with the string and arrow? If I would move the sight, my arrow would hit left. I would have to move my rest to compensate. What is the method for finding centershot?

If I am understanding correctly, your sight pins are offset either from the line created by looking down your arrow shaft through the bowstring...yes? If so then don't worry, this is typical with many setups and can normally be attributed to your specific grip on the bow and not necessarily the bow's centershot position. Have your group or papertuned the bow? If so then what type of results did you get?

I have not group tuned the bow. I have paper tuned it, and got bullet holes.

As long as the arrows are grouping and your getting the paper tear you want,then I wouldn't worry about the pins being a little off center.It has alot to do with how you grip,and anchor as to which side your pins will end up after sighting in.Mine are a little left of the string,I'm a right handed shooter,and shoot with a back tension release.

Wierd. I'd say some things not lined up.

There's no good reason why bow manufactures can't give a reference point and measurement for center shot. Eyeballing drives me crazy. I might just make a square in the shape of a D to make it easier for people. Then again, if they would be as accurate about center shot meas. as there are about speed maybe it's good they don't give out anymore info.

With that I agree totally. There is no reason the tuning process cannot be made a bit easier. I now see a few manufacturers are marking starting points on their bows for centershot adjustment.
