Do I adjust or buy a new string.

Need a little advice ,
I've been shooting my bow alot more lately. I've notice the string seems a little easier to pull and it seems to go back farther. When this happens do you tighten up on the limbs a little more or buy a new string? The string is showing no wear. I hav ejust twitched to a quick release...that may have something to do with it. It just seems like I have to pull it back farther for a complete pull.

If you shot fingers and switched to a release then will likely need to reduce the draw length on your bow.The actual draw lengthon your bow hasn't changed butprobably feels like it has. Try drawing it your old way and see if itstill feels right.

Chuck,
It could be that your string has stretched. If that is the case then I would take it to a shop to have them twist it back to original specs. Each bow string typically exhibits a short break-in period before settling. Also, if you left your bow in a hot car or other hot environment for an extended period of time then that may have also caused your string to stretch.

Thanks Driftrider,
That makes alot of sense to me. Also tha tis why I see a lot of fellows bringing their right hand past their jaw . Mine is an older bow and can't be adjusted. I shoot 31" arrow.
thanks for responding,
Chuck

PA Hunter,
Whoops,
I did that the other day and I live down here in Florida. I left it just about all day. Fact, it's in the truck right now. Thanks for the warning.
