I installed Sims String Leeches on the bowstring of my Mathews Q2 but noticed little if any reduction in string noise!
For those of you who use Sims String Leeches: What type of bow do you have? Where on the string did you install your string leeches? Did you put them closer to the middle of the string and the nock or out closer to the axles? I think the type of string and location on the string may be an important factor in the performance of the string leeches! Some swear by the leeches, while others curse them. There's got to be a logical explanation for this! Could it just be a defective batch of string leeches?

I did notice a reduction in string noise. I have a Golden Eagle Lighspeed. 72# 31" drawlength 536 grain arrow. I put the leaches half way between axle and noc point.
You'll never know the ending. Unless you stay till the end!

I have a Hoyt Striker. I also noticed a considerable difference in noise. There was a little more reduction with the Leeches than with catwhiskers. You also lose less speed with the Leeches vs. catwhiskers.

I just got some good advice from the pro shop. I have been using the leech since June and have sliced 8 of them in half. The guy at the pro shop said they wrap the leech in mole skin and put them more toward the axle then where I was installing mine. As for the noise, I noticed a big difference after I installed the leech, but I can compare them to anything else because they were the first silencers I put on this bow.
