I agree, Straightarrow, but I think that's the wrong mindset for hunters. Target archers have plenty of time to make sure their form is right on. They're always using their very best stance.
I should have elaborated a bit. I agree with you. Hunters should pay more attention to forgiveness. Most want to know how fast a bow is, but few ask about features that make it more forgiving, which in my opinion is 100 times more important than the rated speed of a bow. On the other hand, there is a forgiveness factor advantage with short bows in some situations. If one hunts from treestands with tight quarters, they may find a short bow to be more forgiving in regards to manuverability. If the hunter never shoots beyond 15-20 yards, then it may outweigh the accuracy disadvantage for a particular hunter. In that instance, they may want to really concentrate on getting other forgivenss factors to help compensate.

Unfortunately, the average bowhunter is not too concerned with forgiveness. I'm not sure that most even realize that particular designs promote it. At my local shop, I rarely even hear one ask about brace height when looking at a new bow. The big concerns appear to be speed, appearance, quietness, vibration, comfortable grip and to a smaller degree, length. I'll hear the shop owner describing the forgiving high brace height to a customer and most will say, "Yeah, but how fast is it?".

I asked the question because I am deciding between the allegiance and switchback and the shop said SB is a little more forgiving. I knew what that ment just not all these factors.
