how many of you fellow archerys use a wrist sling, I have one right now but don't like it on there, so I was wondering for those who don't use one how do you hold the bow properly without griping/torquing it.

I bought one for my new Allegiance and already took it off.Don't really need it

I don't. I simply just hold my hand lose around the grip.

Me. My Hoyt has minimal shock, don't need it. And, it makes it harder to shoot with a gloved hand.

I never tried one. I'v been told it's better because you dont have to think about grabbing the bow after the shot. I dont think about, it just happens tho I did drop it once. Thats why I asked at the shop about them but I never did get one.

I used to have one, but took it off because my thick gloves wouldn't fit through it. I never put it back on. I've found that bringing the fingers around the front of the riser and gently touching the front of the riser with my fingertips (index and middle fingers with my hand position, might be different for you depending on wrist angle) doesn't affect my shooting at all and the bow can't fall out of your hands when shot. I hate to see people shooting with a wide open hand. This causes tension in the hand, where a partially closed hand is relaxed. With todays bows that hardly move when shot, you will probably see less and less of the wrist slings.

I have to have one. Im afraid I am going to drop it. When I dont have one on there, I have to grab the bow right after the shot, and with my short of a brace height, I think grabbing the bow hurts my groups.

I have on on mine, but it is loose. I like the idea that if my bow comes out of my hand it won't fall to the ground. Other than having to put my hand through it, I don't even know it's there.

I have one on my Buckmaster G2 just because I was always afraid of dropping it out of my treestand. It is pretty loose but it is still a pain to slide my hand in it when a deer comes walking by. Sometimes I don't put my hand through it so I guess it is just on there for peace of mind. I dont think I will put one on my new bow.

I have never used one and I have never dropped my bow. I leave my hand open and only bring my pointer finger around (but not tight) so that if the bow does want to go forward it isnt going anywere. My Legacy doesn't move anyways.
