I have one, but after using it for a while, don't think I need it. On the other hand, it doesn't bother me to have it on.

I continue to use one but have been contemplating removing it as well. My latest version is one of the stiff, braided styles. This seems to be a good model to use as a transition to nothing at all since it does not touch my wrist whatsoever.

I use one and always will. The key is keep i lose. Its not hard at all to slip your hand into a lose sling. If I didnt use a sling, Id drop my bow after every shot. I dont like the idea of having to grab at my bow after I shoot. I feel any sling will keep you from developing a torque. I use to use a finger sling way back in the 80s, but perfer a wrist sling.

Thanks for all the input guys, I took it off and like it not being there it took a little while to get a comfortable grip without torquing the bow and I've got it still have a lose grip but also have the bow secure enough that I won't drop it, and hasn't affected my accuracy.

I recently put one on my hunting bow because it makes my 5 yr. old bow look cooler during 3D shoots.

Actually I don't hunt with one and won't because in case of a slip or fall I don't want my bow anywhere around me, especially since I use a permantly mounted bow quiver.

No wrist sling here! No problems without it while shooting my 'ol MQ1!

started using one when I would bowfish off of bridges. just in case I lost the grip, I'd still have the bow without going swimming. I shot without it for the first time last year because I read that at the moment of truth, it is often hard to get your hand in there. so, I took it off. cannot say I liked it. I put it back on, and practiced shooting without the sling by just picking up the bow. worked like a charm. Now I know, if I need to get a shot off quickly, I can without the sling.
