Default Staining antlers

I have seen antlers that have been stained dark brown by taxidermist, what do they use?

Some taxidermist will use regular stain, the same type use for woods. Usually in a deep walnut. Then again a lot use, and so do I,Potassium permagenate. It'll start out looking a little purple, but will turn a deep rich brown.

Hi mastinson pick up some walnut stain from your local hardware store give it 1 to 2 coats depending on how dark you want it. Good luck
