Default staining antlers

im doing two euro mounts of an 8 point and a 13 point i found this year and i got the velvet off the antlers and everything but i think the velvet made the antlers all different shades of brown so it is kind of blotchy. is there any way to try and make the antlers looks more natural? i tried using wood stain but it just wouldnt stick.

Jonas SupplyCo sells Potassium Permangante and I have been useing it for over 38 years and it is the best horn stain out there. The more you put on the darker it gets, but you have control over it.

Here is a repo rack that I did with the Potassium Permangante stain. It starts like you are trying to mix oil and water, but it works out great.
