Deer head mount and a rug?

Deer head mount and a rug?
I want to get my first deer mounted. I'm not sure what type of mounts these are called but they look like larcarmon's mount on this page: http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.as...&mpage=10&key=
If I do get a deer mounted like that, could I make a rug out of the skin? Would it look good?
The taxidermist isn't open on weekends, which is when I will do most of my hunts. What should I do if I get one on Saturday? How do I take care of it?
I will use my bow if that matters.
How much do you think this will cost on average:
1. Mount like larcarmon's
2. hide rug
3. deer processed
Thank you guys.

RE: Deer head mount and a rug?
First thing you need to do is find another taxidermist that IS open on weekends if you don't have the ability to freeze the hide immediately. Tough to guess on the price, it's all dependent on quality and the person doing the work. Expect at least $350 for the shoulder mount and another $60 for the back skin to be tanned. These would be the lowest I would expect. Don't be surprised if it's more. No way for anybody to guess on how much to process the meat. That depends on what you want. You need to ask the people you'll be having do the work. All we can do is guess.
