Default Hootenanny

Has anyone ever heard of taking the back half of a deer or elk and making it into a "hootenanny" not sure on the spelling of that! a friend of mine recently heard i was getting into taxidermy and told me i should make him one of these and he explained it as a back half where you instert fake eyes into the hide and add some other nice tricks and when your finished the back half now looks like an odd owl of some sort. has anyone heard of this or have any ideas of where i can find more information on making one! thanks!

There's one in a roadside Lodge up here in Alaska. It was made out of an Elk rear. Pretty funny stuff. The tail looks like a nose, and realistic eyes. It took me a few seconds to figure out what I was looking at the first time I saw it.

You can find them under "Swamp booger" in almost any taxidermy catalog.
