Default on my first Merriam's hunt next week.Turkeys

I'm going on my first Merriam's hunt next week.What is the best way to take care of a turkey if you are going to have it mounted?

The "best" way is to get it to the taxidermist ASAP. If that's not possible, get it in the freezer ASAP.

I shot one last week. I gutted it. then I put it in the fridge over night and took it to the taxidermist the next day. He got the meat out for me.

like the other guys said, either take it to the taxidermist right away or get it in the freezer right away. You dont relly need to gut it or anything either I dont think.
