Default fixing busted tines

anyone happen to know the "going rate" for having busted tines remade? 1 is a g2..snapped an inch or 2 from the bottom...should be 6-7" the other is a brow snapped about smooth..should be 2-3"

not sure if i wanna have it done...price may be a deciding factor...they werent there when i killed him...but it would make the skull mount look really nice...and they certainly WERE there at one point not overly long ago..i always said if its not there when i killed it, i wouldnt have them made....but he was an old buck and would make a nice lookin rack if all the tines were intact....

anyone know the going price for a job like that? thanx

Not sure what other shops are charging but I get 5.00/inch with a 30.00 minimum per tine.

hmmm thats not bad....

on one hand, it would make the rack look really nice...

on the other hand, he didnt have it when i killed him...though they were there at one time and by the looks of them, they would been symetrical...

i dont know if i want to or not....

gotta see how the skull turns out...should be about done being boiled now...sometimes my buddies turn out great...other times the antlers end up white...he offered to do it free...and done 100s of them so i wont complain either way...he knows me and im sure he will do his best to keep it nice...not sure how he whitens them...i should told him just boil it clean and i'd finish it(i do think he uses bleach not peroxide but i could be wrong..and hope i am wrong i know bleach is bad..)

just would make the rack look real nice if the tines werent busted

I would definately make sure he is using peroxide and not bleach. As for the antlers, they are very easy to color if the bases turn white.
