Default TURKEYS

I'VE NEVER GOT A TURKEY MOUNTED, BUT I PLAN TOO. HOW DO YOU PREPARE IT FOR THE TAXY? DO YOU BRING THE WHOLE BIRD UNTOUCHED OR DO YOU GUT IT, SKIN IT? I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA. THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE

If you cannot get it there asap, I was told to wrap the head w/ papertowels... Also put papertowels under the wings and put in a garbage bag and put in the freezer.

I'd recommend not doing the head with paper towels, but that's just me. I would call your Taxidermist and talk to him. If it's a money issue (somemay read this, who can't afford it right now) he should be able to tell you the things to do to ensure that you don't mess it up. I have my clients bring the turkey to me and I remove the head and place it in a zip lock bag with water and freeze it.
