My taxidermist here in PA (Jim Keller @ Keller's Taxidermy) just got my 2007 buck mounted over the weekend.(with the beginning of broken point)
The Oct 1st cape really shows a lot of the detail.
It will still be about 3 weeks until it dries and all the finishing work is done but I'm too excited not to share.I think theface and muzzle on this guy came out beautiful. It's one of a handful of deer mounts I've seen where they truly do look alive. He looks like he could blink at any second. LOL
I can't wait to get this guy back where he belongs! Next pic will be the finished product hanging on the wall.
He's mounted on a Joe Coombs right turn full wall pedestal form.

I'd be really concerned, I think he gave your deer a head cold!! Looks like he packed tissue in his nose to keep it from running. [X(]
But I'm sure those nostrils will look great, like the rest of the mount once the finishing work is done. I use the same tissue method on my mounts.
