I have a younger cousin who has shown a real interest in taxidermy this year. He has been skinning and salting one of every different type of duck we shoot and has done the same to squirrels and turkey fans in the past. Anyway, I am happy he has developed this interest and I would like to see it continued, but I have no knowledge of taxidermy myself. Do any of you guys have any suggestions or recommendationsof instructional books or manuals forbeginners and where I could go about getting one?

WASCO and McKenzie carry good videos, as well as the Breakthrough manuals (a good start). A subcription to www.breakthroughmagazine.comis extrememly valuable as well.
