I posted this in big game hunting and it was suggested to post it here also. I am going on a bear hunt on 5/19.Best situation seems to bring the hide back myself.I was told that it is simple asfar as paper work goes. What about packing it? Are there general standards as far as airlines go?Iwill speak to Northwest and get the low down from them. I just want to hear other's experiences. Thanks, Kyle

Youll need to be much more specific here. What country, province, state? How is the skin being handled prior to the trip home? Theres every answer from frozen vs dry ice to salted, leaving with a taxidermist locally to ship direct to your taxidermists tannery, etc etc. Id say post details, and/or contact your taxidermist, he oughtta know what to suggest. What I like here might be different from what he likes! Good luck, and get a good one. I think its smart of you to check this out in advance, rather then after the bear is down, and the clock is running!
