Default Doing my turkey

Getting ready to do my first gobbler... What pose do you think is the easiest to start with... I'm thinking flying and standing...

Standing is easier.

Alex definetely has the experience here but I think flying is easier. Standing, IMHO, is harder that strutting because everything has to be right to look good. Side pockets, etc. Strutting you can get away with a little, flying you can get away with even more. The biggest problem I have seen is too big of a form and not pulling the neck skin up enough. Good Luck

there are some fine videos on the market and if your serious about taxidermy, Breakthrough magazine usually has an article on mounting them. I can look up past issues for you if you need it.

I had a subscription to taxidermy today... And it had a lot of articles on mouting turkeys... I also bought the break through bird taxidermy manual plus a few video's from cally morris and ed thompson... I'm hopeing I did my home work

I guess the mount will tell the story... I just got all my stuff in the mail the other day. so I'll be doing it in the next week or so...
