Default Making a euro mount

I just found a 5 point today and wanted to make a euro mount out of it. But whenI was done boiling it, I found that the back of both eye sockets were broken. Is it supossed to be like this...or is my mount done for.

Thanks for any help

Wasco has a kit for a european mount which has a resin skull and you mount in your skull plate into it. I've never used it, or seen it completed, but am thinking of trying it for a small 8 point I have.
