Great looking mount! Even as much as I despise of the raptor birds, they sure are beautiful.

Wingspan is at least 18". Wierd because it looked so small compared to my pheasants when it was dead, but now it's huge compared to them. Andfyi, it wasn't shot, it was hit by a car. Every bird must be checked by F&WLbefore you can have it in your posession.

That owl is awesome. I wish we could pick our dead raptors, that would be nice. They are just so beautiful.

My dad hit one with the truck that he drives. It slid off the windshield and sat between the mirror and the cab. He put it in the storage box and showed some guy and htey wanted it so he gave it to them. I think he had it checked by the MNR. Too bad I would like a mount of one of those.[>:]

Looks great!

Owls dont eat pheasants....thats so basic, youre talking about birds on different "shifts", lol. Now, owls DO eat skunks, one of the few birds that will, and we DO know how many pheasant nests a skunk will destroy...In a balance, all the prey and predators are beneficial.
