Default RE: How do i preserve pelts???

Yes the process is all the same, except a few species such as goat and pigs.
I would either buy a tape on tanning or a book or even go to your public library and check one out, it is an ardeous job and to me is not worth doing for the price that a professional tannery can do it for.
and unless you have all the machinery they have you will never get that nice soft feeling.
Good luck
