See its easy for me to comment here, as Im one of those guys. I started accumulating a backlog as I used to goof off all the time, hunting and fishing with my clients, and not getting the work out on time. I soon learned that it was like shooting yourself in the foot. Well, I got that boat rightside up, but since have accumulated a backlog due to just being very busy. Soooo, I quote long turnaround times to be fair to the customer as well as me. I tell them right out its over a year for sure, and Im usually around 18 months or better. I still go over that, but again, Im up front. I still have guys calling and saying I promised 6 months, etc, but I know I wrote the ESTIMATE on their invoice. So, they hate me, never return, and I move on and do work for the 95% of the guys that come here who are so decent and patient. I know theyre very anxious, and I respect that. They know they can get ok work done fast elsewhere, but THEY make that choice. Theres a time frame and taxidermist for everyone out there.

WOW!! i guess I'm one of the lucky hunters around here. My taxidermist usually only takes about 3 or 4 months. I guess they may be because I live in a small town, but still. I couldn't imagine having to wait a year or more.
