shot this weekend, not as well as last week

I shot a 3-d course this weekend with some friends and after the valentines party I went to Saturday night,I probably should have slept in a little while longer.[&:]
It started rough, quite a few 8's with a 5 thrown in.It was a little tougher than the course I shot last weekend and got a 306.
There was a first timer in my group and the way I was shooting,I held back commenting and helping him because he was shooting better than me.
As the day moved on,I started feeling a little better and it started warming up a little outside. It was like a light switch was turned on,I noticed most of my problems was my bow arm was too bent and I was struggling with my pin float but after I figured that out,I was shooting lights out.
The newby took notice and I was more comfortable at that point giving him some pointers, which I noticed were working for him.
I ended up shooting the second half several points up.After shooting the first half DOWN 17,I ended up shooting the back half 7 or 8 up.Of course I have always been 8up.
A 291 on a fairly good course while hung over ain't too bad.

I am wanting a Pro elite so bad I can taste it,just have a hard time justifying it for no more than I am shooting right now.
I was telling the guys, especially the newby that you have 1 shot and that is the one at hand. The last one is gone and the next one hasn't come yet.You don't worry about score or how the last shot went, just shoot each shot as if it were a new one.I really took my own advice because I knew my shots would come and I really don't shoot for score (I shoot for fun)now and it all came together and I started pounding the 10's.

Was it outdoors and what made it difficult? Shot an indoor team shoot today in PA. This is one of my favorite places to shoot when I get back to PA. Great guys and some distance for indoors (20-45 yds). Shot a 5 on a racoon at 45 yds up 6' anda few 8s. Finished the day with a good score andtook first in all 3 categories $155 total (311/360). Got to donate some back to the club. One thing that I have learned from this site, which is improving my score is the angle of my rist. I was looking at a lot of the pictures and I was near 80 degrees instead of 45 and this changes has helped. Anyone from the indiana sportsmans, you guys certainly have a great place to shoot and have fun together.

What made this particular shoot somewhat tough was it was cold and we shot around a lake with the wind coming off the lake making it colder.Along with the shots basically being field shots with half the shots having the lake as the backdrop.Yardage played a small role but imo, yardage really isn't ever a big deal from the hunter stake.
Add to those factors the fact that I was hungover[&:] and you have a tough shoot.

Yeah, I could see that being a tough shoot for several reasons. I went from good to bad. On league night, I started with a 12, 12 then 0, which was my first. My D-loop pulled through and I sent one into the ceiling. It was somewhat like a dry fire but not as loud. I fixed it and hit two fives. I was shooting ~8" to the left. I could not believe that it was my equipment. I looked it over and could not find a root cause. I shot the next few holding to the right and putting them in 10s and 12s. Adjusted my site and made up some ground to finish 298/360. What a crazy night. I think that I am getting a little carried away with the juice on the string. I have some retuning to do this weekend.
