Congrats Matt, good shooting! Now it's time to step up a few classes and pull yourself out of your comfort zone. That's how your going to make that next step.

Rob.........they make the lower end classes half known distance to boost participation with newbs. The big boy classes are still unknown. I think it's great to be honest though.....gives the sandbaggers in the lower classes a reason to step up.

I am pretty sure the pro's shoot unknown yardages, other than that the only class that I know shoots unknown is the unlimited class. Good shooting Matt. You should be right up there at the top. Also it is $300.00 before you have to move up, but I think the only difference is 5 yards from c to b.

I ended up taking 2nd place. I was winning at the end of round 2 but a few guys got to shoot the next day. Which I'm not very happy about. They got to shoot early Saturday adn early Sunday. They were fresh on both rounds. EVERYONE was supposedly having to shoot Saturday, both rounds, it's even in the announcments. I think it's crap, because we had worse weather on Saturday, and we had to shoot two rounds in one day. ASA won't turn down money though.

And as far as known yardage goes, you have to shoot high 12's on that day, which is TOUGH if you've never done it. I know it sounds easy but it is A LOT tougher than it sounds, it just goes against everything you've ever done.

Matt (RJ) I want to move up but I want to do it right and win out of my classes to get there. Remember now, this is my FIRST year shooting outdoor 3D. When I win out of C, I'm probably going to jump to A. They have 45yd max and shoot unkown both days.

I'm going to Illinois and hopefully the Classic too.

Here are some pictures.

And my personal favorites for the day.

Matt, you are shooting well enough to move up toB or even A and compete and draw a check. The experience gained will help you more than staying in C. My advice is to move on up to A so that in a couple years, you are ready to shoot against the big boys in Pro.

You have the skill, just need the experience,I say go for it but you must do what YOU feel comfortable with.

OH,gongrats on a great showing.

When I win out of C, I'll go to A. I like unokown yardage a lot better than known, that's for sure.

Awesome job Matt. I hope you do as well in Ill. A buddy of mine my self and my so are going to the classic. Maybe we can catch up with you there. My son is now 13 and has just started shooting. I hope he can come close to your calibur by the time he is your age. he seems to be picking it up pretty well so far. Anyways congrats again and keep it up.

I'll be at Metropolis, but not any of the R100's.

Hopefully the Classic too.
