Default Bear for Midwest Whitetail Swap

My buddy and I are looking to swap a couple Upper Peninsula of Michigan bear hunts (we own two camps up here and would provide lodging, meals and baited blinds) in exchange for some good ground to hunt whitetail deer in Midwest.

How long does it take to draw a tag up there?

It depends. We hunt in the Gwinn unit and they have three hunts. For the first hunt usually a c I one years but for the second hunt you can get it in the first point. I had my daughter’s boyfriend out and he got the second hunt and I had plenty of bears. Have you looked up the DNR regs?

In short. First year to five years. Usually on shorter end.

Are you looking to bow or gun hunt? It would take 4 or 5 years to draw a tag here in Iowa.

I live and hunt zone 5 for the non residents. Not sure what would be the quickest, probably late muzzleloader.
